Two points come to mind viz:
1.0 Changing the constitution to replace the royal family with a president is something many of us seek but when are we going to get a serious republican party we can actually vote for in elections?
2.0 Why on earth has there been no negative publicity surrounding Prince Charles's visit to South America to "see for himself" how the rain forrest is being depleted? His visit has an enormous carbon footprint with the many extras in his entourage and he seems to be travelling with the endorsement of the Foreign Office - a worrying development since he is supposed to be apolitical. We already have Prince Andrew as a pseudo government representative with all the waste of public money that this entails. Without some counter publicity they will continue to be seen as doing a public service rather than seeking self engrandisement through the publicity accompanying such a visit.
